A vast shopping mall is an urban island—a world of endless escalators, dazzling displays, and polished cafés. Young strangers drift through it without purpose, quietly observing one another. An aspiring filmmaker studies the people around him each day; a newly arrived young woman struggles to make ends meet; a dance teacher falls in love with a student’s parent; and a delivery rider races back and forth through the mall just to survive… Across different times and realities, they return in new identities, finding ways to exist here once again—forever lost and searching within a consumerist society.
